Highlands NC Homes, Prepping For Sale

Comments Off

Highlands NC homes

Meadows Mountain Realty, Highlands real estate

A huge part of selling Highlands NC homes is prepping them for sale.  The first three words that come to mind are clean, de-clutter, and de-personalize.  It certainly sounds easy enough.  These three steps are things we can do on our own, with no need to hire an outside source unless we are short on time.  The reality is, however, talking and doing are two separate issues.

A clean home is perhaps the most important of these steps.  Spotless floors, counters, and a dust-free interior matter.  As part of the cleaning process our clutter becomes organized.  This should be taken a step farther when preparing a Highlands home for sale though, boxing up items that will not be used until the move or simply getting rid of things that have gone untouched for years.  This is when you can take your personal items out of the home, enabling potential buyers to view with a neutral eye.

Contact the team at Meadows Mountain Realty today for more information on selling Highlands real estate.  We welcome the opportunity to update you on current market conditions while offering a complimentary listing presentation at the same time.  Let our knowledge and experience work to your advantage to get your home sold.

Selling Highlands Real Estate, Let Fresh Air In

Selling Highlands real estate

Meadows Mountain Realty, Highlands real estate

Let the fresh air in when selling Highlands real estate.  Nothing can turn a buyer off more than a smelly home. Selling a home involves quite a bit of preparation and the more neutral and fresh your home appears the more appealing it will be to potential buyers.

Many vacation homes in Highlands NC remain shut tight throughout the winter.  The first entry into one of these homes come spring can reveal musty or old odors.  This is natural considering the windows and doors have been sealed tight for months. Take the time to open up the windows and let the fresh air in, the smell won’t change instantly but a change will start to occur.

Contact the team at Meadows Mountain Realty today for more information on selling your Highlands home.  We welcome the opportunity to update you on current market conditions while giving you a complimentary listing presentation.  Let our knowledge and experience work to your advantage to get your home sold.
